Anna Maria Bagger is a vocalist, songwriter and multidisciplinary artist whose work moves between jazz, cinematic indie pop and alternative singer-songwriter traditions. With a voice that combines clarity, intimacy and emotional depth, she creates atmospheric musical worlds shaped by Scandinavian influences, seventies-inspired aesthetics and contemporary alternative music.
Born in Germany with Estonian roots, she grew up between different musical cultures and artistic disciplines. Before focusing primarily on voice and songwriting, she spent many years as a classical mandolinist, performing internationally from a young age. This instrumental background continues to shape her artistic approach today through a strong sense for texture, phrasing and musical storytelling.
Her vocal work is deeply connected to atmosphere and emotional honesty rather than pure virtuosity. Influenced by artists from folk, jazz, rock and cinematic pop, she is particularly interested in the intersection between fragile intimacy and darker sonic landscapes.

In 2021, she appeared in the Top 16 of Estonian Idol, reaching a wider audience for the first time. Alongside her own artistic projects, she has performed in ensemble, theatre and interdisciplinary settings in Germany, Estonia and Norway.
Since 2022, Anna Maria has been studying Jazz/Pop Vocals at the University of Music and Dance Cologne. In 2024, she spent a semester abroad at Kristiania University College in Oslo, focusing on Popular Music Performance and artistic development in an international environment.
Beyond music, her artistic world is influenced by visual art, literature, film aesthetics and movement-based performance. Her work explores themes of memory, identity, distance, belonging and transformation.
